Quality Improvement and Compliance
The goal of the Quality Improvement and Compliance (QIC) Department is to create a culture of quality and performance improvement throughout each agency, with input and involvement of agency consumers, staff and board members. QIC Department provides services in the following areas:
- Risk Management - Reduce and prevent risks for consumers/clients, staff and the agency (i.e., health, safety, financial, client rights, and accreditation)
- Compliance - Assure compliance to licensing, certification standards and regulations from the regulatory bodies of CCCMHB, CCCADASB, ODMH, ODJFS, ODADAS, COA and CARF
- Accreditation, Licensing and Certification - Assist and facilitate the acquiring and maintenance of accreditation to regulatory bodies including: ODJFS, ODMH, ODADAS, COA and CARF
- Reporting - Assist agencies in complying with reporting of outcomes, utilization and demographic information to regulatory bodies and other funders (i.e., United Way)
- Training - Assist agencies in staff trainings that meet the needs of staff and regulatory bodies' requirements
- Program Evaluation and Outcomes - Assist agencies in achieving program goals and outcomes
- Clinical Documentation - Assist agencies in proper clinical documentation (including electronic documentation) of services per regulatory bodies standards (ODMH, ODJFS, ODADAS, CARF, COA)
- Medical Records - Assist agencies in the maintenance, control and access of their medical records
- Data Management and Electronic Record Keeping - Assist agencies in maintenance, tracking and implementation of accurate consumer data in electronic clinical/billing database for management decision making and documentation of consumer services
- Performance Improvement Projects - Identify performance and system process issues and through the QI/PI process, work with agencies to improve these services and processes
